EXHIBITION AT 16 PATTON FINE ART GALLERY

Here is a recent plein-air painting done on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. The area is about 40 miles west of Asheville, and is known as Black Balsam. It was a stormy and dramatic day, which made this painting all the more exhilarating to produce. It will be part of the upcoming exhibition at 16 Patton Gallery.

I just returned from a wonderful painting trip to Saint Simons Island and the Golden Isles of Georgia. This little painting is of a meadow just off East Beach on Saint Simons. I was astonished to see it with such a profusion of flowers. I'll be heading back to the Georgia Coast in autumn where I'll be doing a one-man show at The Left Bank Art Gallery.
