"Road to East Beach"

"Road to East Beach" oil on panel 11" x 14"

I just returned from a wonderful two week painting expedition on St. Simons Island, one of the barrier islands on the coast of Georgia. Here's a plein-air painting of the road to East Beach as it crosses the marsh. This time of year, the marshes and water take on the jewel tones of gold and sapphire. "East Beach Meadow in Spring"

"East Beach Meadow in Spring" oil on panel 11" x 14"

I just returned from a wonderful painting trip to Saint Simons Island and the Golden Isles of Georgia. This little painting is of a meadow just off East Beach on Saint Simons. I was astonished to see it with such a profusion of flowers. I'll be heading back to the Georgia Coast in autumn where I'll be doing a one-man show at The Left Bank Art Gallery.
