Just spent a great week on the Gulf Coast of Florida, painting with fellow members of The Plein Air Painters Of The Southeast (PAP-SE). http://pap-se.com/   I ended up staying in the St. George Island State Park, a magnificient and quite isolated park, some 9 miles long!  Here is a my plein air study of the rising sun, which only lasted a moment! 

 



"August In The Italian Garden"

August is a wonderful month for the spectacular Italian garden at George Vanderbilt's home.  While on location, Tyree Purvis shot this photo of me working on a quick color study.
